The big question

The big question

So you want to invest in your home. One of the best ways to do this is by remodeling the floors. The question is, what kind of floors do you want? Wally?s Carpet & Tile is a flooring company that can help you answer that question.

Laminate

Laminate is a product from the 70s, but don?t let its age fool you. It is a tried and true product that is still popular today. It is very durable and has a hard surface. It is water-resistant to a degree, but if you want it to be waterproof, that can be done as well. Its look is fantastic, as it can mimic wood, tile, or stone. It can go into any room in the house!

Hardwood

Hardwood is a traditional choice for floors. It adds elegance and class to your house. Know that there are two types of hardwood products you can get. There is solid hardwood which is a plank of wood that is the same thickness throughout. It is nailed down to a subfloor underneath. The second type is engineered hardwood with a sliver of the desired hardwood is on top of several pieces of wood put together with resin. These pieces fit together like a jigsaw, so what you get is a floor that looks fantastic but installs much quicker, without the sanding, sealing, and staining necessary with a solid hardwood floor.

Luxury Vinyl

Luxury vinyl is a popular product on the market today. It looks and feels like wood or stone because of the composite wood layer or composite stone layer made of plastic in the middle. It can come in tile or plank, depending on how you want it. It, too, can go in any room in the home. It is also waterproof, so no matter how much water is on it, it won't react, curl, ripple, or warp. Just wipe it up, and you're done.
